Lord, let me come to the alter and stop sacrificing to You my works and achievements. Let me simply come and adore You. There is not a first fruit that I can give that would be pleasing to Your eye. Give me comfort in the fact that Your sacrifice is sufficient and nothing else needs to be offered. I have nothing else to stand on except Your son. All I want is to come into a fuller understanding of You. Let mercy, justice, and humility be my only aim.
